Danny Casady Obituary
Pocahontas - Danny Earl Casady, 77, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Medical Center.
He was born July 19, 1948, in Kirksville, MO, to the late Gail William and Geneva Maxine Hawkins Casady. Danny served in the US Navy where he refueled jets. He then worked for 29 years as a supervisor at Skil Corp. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a member of Pocahontas First Free Will Baptist Church for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Edward Casady; and siblings, Larry Casady, Ricky Casady, Randy Casady, and Connie Steed.
Danny is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Casady; children, Danny Earl Casady (Megan Hartness) of Auburn, WA, Stephen (Lisa) Smith of Newhall, CA, Chestel Smith of Pierce City, MO, Jim (Aaron) Smith of Joplin, MO, David (Sophia) Smith of Springfield, MO, Anna Marie (Jon) Telford of Cherokee Village, and Linda (Danny) Sisco of Doniphan, MO; 25 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Walter of Benton, KS; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 11 AM – 1 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 1 PM with Nelson Henderson and Chuck Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Anthony Webb, Sean Prince, John Telford, William Casady, Kyle Shipp, and Spencer Casady.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden Mills, Chet Smith, and Steve Smith.
