Danny Castle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2024.
Danny William Castle was born August 1st, 1946, and passed suddenly on July 9th, 2024.

Danny was predeceased by his parents Herb and Mim Castle, his wife of 48 years Judy Kay, and sister Georgine. Danny is survived by his children; Danny (Natacha) Castle and Tina (Devon) Reid, grandchildren; Elizabeth (Jerry) Castle, Danny Castle, Jarod (Breanne) Reid, Eric Reid (Hailey) and Tanner O'Connor-Watson, great-grandchildren; Marcelina Warren-Reid and Eleanor Reid, his brothers; John Castle, Tom (Carolyn) Castle, brother-in-law Raymond Melatini, sisters-in-law; Mary "Sam" Peterson, Helen (Butch) Barber, Donna (Jim) Hopkins, Debbie (Randy) Bluher, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny was born in Calgary and moved with his family first to Warfield and then to Rossland, BC. He attended Cook Ave. School and then Rossland Senior Secondary. In 1965 he started working for Cominco, later Teck. He ended his career as an Iron Worker on July 30th, 2004, so that he could spend more time with Judy Kay and attend to her care. He was a devoted loving husband and father. He cherished his extended family and friends, always making time to visit and generously supporting them in any way he could. He loved his weekly trips south to visit and catch up with family.

Danny's passion was the outdoors and his family, he loved to hunt and fish as long as Judy Kay was there beside him. He taught us to "get the work done before you go play." Always take time to play. We find peace knowing that he is now back in the arms of his true love. Thank you, Dad, for all you have taught us, the life lessons provided, knowing our lives are a testament to you. We will miss you and love you forever. Rest in Peace!

There will be a celebration of life August 24, 2024, at the Colville city park pavilion area from 11am-4pm.

There is no such thing as too much mustard.

A mustard seed is a reminder that even the impossible becomes possible. Life is a journey of planting mustard seeds of love, kindness and compassion. Never give up, for even a mustard seed of faith can move mountains.
