Danny Ray "Dano" Christoff

Danny Ray "Dano" Christoff, age 71, of Caseyville, died at 10:58 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence.
He was born June 12, 1952 in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of the late Charles Leo and Mary Jane (Yow) Christoff.
Danny is survived by his long-time companion, Diane Crowell of Caseyville; her children: Mandy Malter of Collinsville, Shannon (Shane) Morgan of Collinsville and Steven Crowell of Caseyville; the children who lovingly called him PawPaw: Alyssa (Efren) Huerta, Drew McIntyre, Landon Malter, Shane Morgan, Allie Morgan, Eva Huerta and Noah Huerta; two sisters: Carolyn Carsrud of Carbondale, Susan Kuhs of Evansville, Indiana; a brother, Terry Christoff of Carbondale; his good friend, Chris (Geri) Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
Dano was a star wrestler at Carbondale Community High School, class of 1970. He then went on to earn a food management degree, and managed several fast food restaurants through the years. Following his retirement, he was a delivery driver for Stone Wheel Auto Parts.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Christ the King Apostolic Church, 6920 Old Collinsville Road, O'Fallon, IL. A luncheon will immediately follow.
