Kathy S. Salada

1954 - 2023

Kathy S. Salada, age 68, of Brockway, PA, died on Saturday, March 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 21, 1954, in DuBois, PA, the daughter of the late Alton Dwight and Gertrude Kroah Ross. She was married to Gary Salada in Brockway, PA, on April 27, 1972, and he survives.

Kathy is survived by her two sons: Gary (Kimberly) Salada of Brockway, PA, and Clinton (Elissa) Salada of Warriors Mark, PA; and the joy of her life, her 4 grandchildren: Justin, Kaitlyn, Joshua and Kellen. In addition to her children and grandchildren she is also survived by her sister Helen Miller of Northern Cambria, PA; and her brother Larry (Colleen) Ross of Brockway, PA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who she loved greatly.

A 1972 graduate of Brockway High School, Kathy worked for 33 years at O-I Brockway Glass. She was a member of the Falls Creek Eagles, She loved traveling, especially to the beach, cooking, attending all of her grandchildren's events, camping, family game nights and holidays surrounded by her loved ones. She also enjoyed sharing her homemade sweets with those close to her and with the community to support local events and fund raisers. She adored her dog, Kujo. Kathy's laughter and smile could light up a room. Her supporting love and generous spirit will be deeply missed. She leaves those she's impacted with a greater sense of caring about the small things in life, and finding joy and fulfillment any way possible.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 15, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Falls Creek, PA.
