Mr. Danny Campos Espiritu

Danny Campos Espiritu, age 67, of Ladson SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born in the Philippines on July 15, 1945 to the late Luis and Florentina Espiritu. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was a friendly person, entrepreneur and an excellent automobile mechanic. He loved the Lord and loved to help others in need. He was a member of International Christian Church, Goose Creek SC. He served his country as a chef in the United States Navy Supply Department for 21 years. He served on ships operating between the Philippines and Vietnam during the Vietnam Era. He was retired from the State of South Carolina after 10 years service working with heavy equipment. Danny is survived by his wife: Belen Espiritu of Ladson SC; sons: Jay Espiritu (Chari) of Duluth GA, and Dominador "Jun" Espiritu (Vicky) of the Philippines; daughter: Elaine Espiritu of Alpharetta GA; grandchildren: Zachary Whitley, Anna Espiritu, Mia Espiritu, and Dominic Espiritu; sister: Conchita Espiritu Barks (Nicholas) of the United Kingdom; nieces and nephews: Eleanor, Carina, Edwin, Esther, Jimmy, Zorro, Jessica, Karen, and Eric; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Fidel and Antonio Espiritu. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 1, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 31, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406.
