Danny D. Gooding, 71, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born on May, 24, 1953 in Lewis County Kentucky to the late Shirley "Mother" and Clyde Gooding. Danny was a son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed many hobbies and interests including gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, collecting classic cars and model trains. He also loved watching police shows and collecting Scobby Doo's of varying sizes and shapes. He enjoyed going to the thrift store to look for special treasures and chatting it up with fellow shoppers. After his mother passed away Danny lived with his sister and started attending Hattie Larlham Constant Companions.There he found purpose caring for animals and was able to make new friends. Preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Gooding. Danny is survived by his sister, Cheryl Morris "Sis" and his two brothers, Barry Gooding and Jerry Gooding (Shirley Tavaglione); nieces, Chrystene (Craig) Thomas, Holly (Scott) Shears, Leanne Gooding and Carly Gooding: nephews, John Gooding, Jimmy (Candy) Gooding, Zachary Webb (Vicki Hall) and Feline friend and family member, "Muffin". Danny's funeral service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Rev. Fred Webb officiating. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Danny's favorite charities were St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Survivor Network.
