Danny L. Kage Sr., 77 of Cook, passed away on August 5, 2021 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on May 2, 1944 to Claude Sr. & Edna (Ferguson) Kage in Omaha.
Danny married Janet Breeling on November 28, 1961 in Marysville, KS. He started working at DeTeau Chevrolet as a Vega specialist, then became a racehorse trainer for Dudley Farms in Lincoln. Danny also owned and operated D&R Auto Repair & Tires.
He is survived by his Wife: Janet Kage; Children: Danny Jr. (Debra) Kage, David Kage, Duane Kage, Douglas Kage, Jeannette (Gideon) Woodcook, Ryan Kage; 16 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Linda (Gary) Cozad, Larry (Maria) Kage, Kathy (George) Petry; also many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Siblings: Claude Kage Jr., Jimmy Kage, Claudette Brennan and Viola Brennan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14th at 11 a.m. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Facebook page. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the basement at FirstBank of Nebraska, located at 320 5th St. in Syracuse.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home with family present.
Memorials are suggested to family for later designation.
