Danny Wilson Long

Mr. Danny Wilson Long, age 73, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital. Born on December 18, 1952, in Loris, SC, he was the son of the late Joel Wilson Long and the late Alberta Gause Boruta. Mr. Long worked as an assistant vice president for Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union until his retirement and was a longtime member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. In his personal life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara "JoJo" Long; son, Christopher Danny Long (Kelly Moore); daughter, Leslie Anette Long; brother, Dale Long (Gina); uncle, Troy Gause (Gloria); aunts, Faye Hancock, and Alberta Long; half-brother, Scottie Grainger (Melanie); sister-in-law, Kay F. Holmes, MD (James L. Jones, MD), and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Long was predeceased by his brothers, Randy Long and Bobby Long.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Buck Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Allen officiating. Committal services will follow at Buck Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, prior to services, at Buck Creek Baptist Church.
