Danny Lee Nipper

Danny Nipper, 37, of Salina passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010. He was born Dec. 28, 1972 in Salina. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Schriner. Survivors include his parents, James and Roberta Cogar; grandfather, Clyde Schriner; sisters, Tressa Heyde and husband, Tim; Kathy Smith and husband, Jason; and Janice Vance and husband, Darin. Step-brothers and step-sisters, Janie and Rusty Brunner of Virginia; Cindy Cogar of Florida; Robert Cogar, Virginia and Gary Glacken, Mary and John Glacken, all of Junction City; many other loving family members including two very special couples, Rose and Delbert Schriner; and Alice and Matt Schreiner. Danny loved cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his family. Danny also loved balloons and you are welcome to bring a balloon to be released in his memory following his service. Visitation will be from noon to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401, where family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to his mother, Roberta Cogar, to assist with burial expenses.
