Danny Redding, 78, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at his home. Born on July 11, 1946, to Jacob and Edith (nee Wise) Redding, Danny lived a life filled with love and dedication.
Danny proudly served in the United States Army, honoring his country with distinction. He was sent to Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
He met his beloved wife Bev in high school, and the couple married in 1966, creating a beautiful family together. They raised two children, Lisa (Mick) Johnson-Hodge and Kevin (Tika) Redding, and he cherished his role as a grandfather to Cameron Johnson and Vaughn Redding. Danny also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Jessie Peltz and Janice Botner.
An enthusiastic Ohio sports fan, Danny had a particular passion for The Ohio State Buckeyes, while also supporting the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. In his younger years, he enjoyed baseball, both playing and coaching his son, and was actively involved in several bowling leagues. Above all, Danny treasured the moments spent with his family and close friends.
An informal celebration luncheon of Danny’s life will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, located at 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
