Danny Gale Steele

Danny Gale Steele, age 78, husband of Patsy (Engle) Steele, of Danville KY died Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born April 22, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Henry C. and Marie (Montgomery) Steele Sr. Danny was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Danville KY and retired from Square D. as an Manufacturing Manager. Danny enjoyed golfing and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife: Patsy Steele, four sons: Barry (Kimberly) Steele of Harrodsburg, KY, Brad (Laura) Steele, Randy (Melissa) Steele and Ronnie (Tiffany) Steele all of Danville, KY; three sisters: Bonnie Teater, Gladys Lozier and Mary Evelyn Sadler, and one brother: Billy Steele; He also has nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry C. and Marie Steele Sr. and his brothers George Steele and Henry "Junior" Steele.

The funeral will be 1pm on Tuesday, February 3 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Tim Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be Monday February 2, 2026 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 8am-1pm when service starts.

Pallbearers: Aaron Steele, Joel Steele, Daniel Steele, Austin Steele, Eli Steele, Gavin Steele, Ricky Steele, Jonathan Steele and Tyler Steele. Honorary Pallbearers: Ben Steele, Wayne Steele, Bryan Teater, Micah Steele, Casandra Cline and Hannah Steele.
