Danny Vance Taff was born December 28, 1951, and went to Heaven on December 10, 2012. Vance was one of nine children of Mildred Price Taff and Wayne Taff. The family farmed in Dyess, Arkansas, and later moved to West Memphis, Arkansas. Vance was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary Taff, niece, Kyra Taff Hill, niece, Kelley Mooneyhan Barbieri, and brother in law, Otto Eads. Vance leaves his precious sisters, Alice Ruth Eads of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Ann Kirkland of Memphis, Tennessee, Karen Bross of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Nancy Rohr of Jacksonville, Florida, Lynn Stewart of Stuart, Florida, Terri Faucetta of Atlanta, Georgia, and his brother, Darryl Taff of Horseshoe, Arkansas. Vance also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will also be a loss to Bobby Sproles, Danny Pope, Dennis Pope, Tad Pope, and Randy Duncan, his lifelong friends and coworkers. Vance's finest compliment is his son, Tyler Vance Taff of Memphis, Tennessee. He was an amazing parental partner for Tyler with Janice Riley Taff. He also leaves a great friend in Cindy Glover. Vance graduated from West Memphis Senior High School, West Memphis, Arkansas. Vance was a proud card-carrying member of the Steamfitters Union Local 614, 3746 Jackson Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, where he served several office positions. He worked as a Steamfitter and a Welder in many states. The love of his brotherhood was always a source of pride. The family will take their family and friends from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the Main Chapel at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium located at 3788 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122 at 4:30 p.m. There will be a memorial service to follow the visitation on Sunday also in the Main Chapel at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium.
