Danny Ray Thomas

Danny Ray Thomas, 65, of Ochelata, Oklahoma, passed away on September 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anita June Thomas and Harry Vernon Thomas. Danny is survived by his children: Linda Gail Toftee; Cassie Lynn West and her husband, Karl West III; and Andre Murphy and his wife, Rachel Murphy. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Karl West IV, Kameron Franks, Amaya Toftee, Cayden West, Izaiah Toftee, and Ambrose Murphy. His siblings, David Thomas and his wife Dorothy, Debra House and her husband James, and Dee Ward and her husband Paul. Along with his nieces and nephews, Chris Thomas, Coy Thomas, John Ward, Mandy Kephart, Valarie Stewart, and Sara Henson. Danny was born in Bartlesville and raised in the Ochelata-Ramona area. He was the proud owner of Ochelata Stone Mart and a lifelong member of the community. Known for his ornery sense of humor and big heart, Danny touched the lives of many. Of all the titles Danny held in life, the one he cherished most was "Papa." He adored his grandchildren, who believed he hung the moon, but in truth, that was how he saw them. He spoiled them endlessly and kept them laughing with his favorite joke: "Hey, pull my finger." A Celebration of Life will be on October 11, 2025 at 2 p.m. at 498 Delaware Ave, Ramona, OKLA. In lieu of flowers the family is asking all donations to be sent to Ramona House of Prayer.
