Daphne Lou McCartney

McCartney, Daphne Lou (Dysard), 74, Mount Union, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends at her home. Born June 1, 1950, daughter of the late Percy and Nora (Rinker) Dysard. Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jack D. McCartney Sr.; children, Lori S. Eberly and husband, Brian, Lebanon; Jack D. McCartney Jr. and Lee Ann, Shirleysburg; Shelli A. Smith and spouse, Brian, Shirleysburg; Steven D. McCartney, Three Springs; Stacey D. McCartney and Greg, Shirleysburg; 17 grandchildren, Joshua, Randy, Chelsey, Jack III, Kristina, Joshua, Jared, Justin, Tristin, Steven Jr., Logan, Luke, Harley, Robert, Kelsey, Brittany and Brysyn; and more than 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her 12 brothers and sisters. Daphne enjoyed camping along the Aughwick, gardening, fishing, and spending time with family. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10am until the time of memorial service at 12pm, at the funeral home.
