Sorry to hear of the passing of Darien Jaunese. He was our neighbor on Wood Street and a great friend to my dad at the Chronicle and the credit union. God's peace be with him and your family.

Dear David & Family: Noticed the announcement of the passing of a "Jaunese" on "mLive" this morning. When I saw the last name, I clicked on the obituary, Dave, and was saddened to read that this remarkable man was your father. I write now to my wonderful colleague and friend to let you know that I am thinking of you at this sad time. I also pray for your mother who lost her life's companion of sixty years. My hope is that you and your family might find some small measure of comfort and support in these feeble words.
Take good care, my friend, Dan Bonner

Mr Jaunese was there thru out my life. As a young boy of maybe 5 or 6 I used to go with my mom to his home I think in Twin Lake and later Amity. My mom was best friends with his daughter Sue and later his son Mark and Mrs Jaunese. I think my mom drank a lot of coffee there and received down to earth christ centered advice about life. When I was 13 my mom Introduced his son Mark to Linda who he married. 5 years later I purchased my first home from Mr Jaunese
I was 18 and he sold me his home on Amity on a land contract . After that I would visit MR and Mrs Jaunese at there home on Harvey. Then in then around 2005 I seen them again they were patriarchs in a Intercity church "the Vineyard " serving Jesus with all of the energy they had . You could always tell that Jesus lived in Mr Jaunese and he has been one of the Christain men that helped guide me in my Christain walk because he was walking with the Lord . Mr Jaunese you will be missed but I'm happy for you that you are now with your Lord.
