Darin Lee Proctor, 55, Indianapolis, passed away on December 31, 2023. Darin was born in Decatur, IL on February 6, 1968, to parents, Harold S. “Ted” Proctor and Evelyn Morr Proctor. Through a friend, Darin met the love of his life and future wife, Robin, at a young age in Indianapolis. The two were married on April 24, 1993.
Darin was a hardworking, loyal, and faithful husband, father and friend. He was an employee for INDOT, where he worked as a shop supervisor. He was known for his generosity and humor. He loved spending time with his family playing cards, playing games and smoking meat on his beloved smoker. He was a loyal fan of the Indy 500 and enjoyed throwing darts and bowling. He also enjoyed going to the Casino, attending fall festivals, especially the covered bridge festivals, and beach vacations.
Darin was preceded in death by his father, Harold “ted” Proctor; and siblings, Harold Proctor and Cinda Proctor.
He is survived by is wife, Robin Proctor; children, Braiden Proctor and Logan Proctor (Katlyn); mother, Evelyn; siblings, Joyce Kirkland (Ronald), Wanda Proctor, Carl Proctor (Lynne) and Terry Proctor (Cheryl); numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family members and adored friends.
Visitation will be held from 10am until 12 Noon, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (2015 S. Arlington Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203), where funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 12 Noon. Burial will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
