Darius was born October 1, 1983, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Angela Currie of Decatur, Illinois and Anthony Ray White of Chicago, Illinois.
Darius was a active member of Amazing Ministries of God Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth White Sr. He attended Parkland College and Richland Community College, studying graphic design maintaining a B average.
Most people young and old knew him by his nickname Blood. He loved cracking jokes and making people laugh. Other interests included building computers from scratch, making his first one at the age of 14. If something breaks just call him and he will fix it and talk about you because you didn't know how to fix it because it was just that simple to him. He would say mom how do you work on a computer every day and don't know anything about them and laugh at me.
He leaves behind his parents, his miracle baby two-year-old son Kendall Ballard-Currie of Decatur, Illinois; brother, DeMario R. Currie Sr; sister, Tameka S. Palmer of Decatur, Illinois; grandmothers, Ida Taliferro of Decatur, Illinois, Annie White of Chicago, Illinois; Special Aunt Kim Taliferro; nephew, DeMario R. Currie Jr; nieces, Fredricka M. Davis, Malliyah D. Davis, Inesheona S. Carter, Karma L. Maldonado and London M. Maldonado all of Decatur, Illinois; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and special cousin Larry Savage Jr.(Jay)
Darius was blessed to have three grandfather's who preceded him in death Ezelle White, Willie Ligon and Charles Taliferro; cousins Alexis White, Andre White, Ava Jackson-Taliferro and Jeffery White.
