Darl F. Klopmeier
Worden - Darl F. Klopmeier, age 87, of Worden, IL, passed away at 5:30 am on Tuesday, October, 19, 2021, in SSM DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. Darl was born July 22, 1934, in Fort Russell Township, IL, the son of the late H. Fred & Hilda (Diepholz) Klopmeier. Darl married Mary F. Walter on June 11, 1996, and she preceded him in death on December 3, 2017. Darl is survived by four children, Michael Klopmeier & wife Judy, of Edwardsville, Susan Johnson & husband Joe, of Affton, MO, Helen Klopmeier & husband Bill Martin, of High Ridge, MO, and Lori Moblo, and husband John of Kimberling City, MO; five grandchildren, Amy Gauen, Jonathan Knoche, Jessie Englemann, Amanda Leutzinger, and Sara Schaefer; and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Darl was preceded in death by a son, Paul Klopmeier; a brother, Ernest Klopmeier; and a sister, Mable Helmkamp. Darl was a machinist at Anheuser Busch Brewery until his retirement from there after 33 years. Darl was also a farmer for most of his life and enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. Darl will be cremated according to his wishes. There will be no services. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville. The family requested memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville is in charge of arrangements.
