Darla Jamison was born on March 2, 1966 to the late Rev. Benjamin White Sr. and Vernell White. She was the cherished middle child among three siblings. In her youth, Darla exhibited a shy and delicate demeanor; however, as she matured, her quiet personality flourished into active participation in cheerleading, show choir, and the Favors social club at Lumberton High School.
After completing her high school education, she pursued further studies at Pearl River Junior College, where she took pride in being a member of the "String of Pearls." Upon finishing her education, Darla embarked on her professional career at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS, Where she worked diligently as a medical receptionist.
Eventually, she married Dejuan Jamison, and together they celebrated the arrival of her daughter, Dasia Jamison, born in Hampton, VA. Following her father's passing, Darla returned to Mississippi to further
her career in the medical sector, concentrating on the specialty services.
Darla's compassion for others transcended her professional life. She had a profound passion for cooking, especially baking desserts and crafting her signature cakes, particularly for her mother and sister Angela. her kitchen transformed into a haven of comfort, joy, and love for family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to savor her culinary creations.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Dasia Jamison (affectionately referred to as "The Boss Baby"); her loving mother, Vernell White; her sister, Angela; her brother, Benjamin White, Jr., and his wife Andra; Ebony and her husband Tracey. Additionally, she leaves behind Nieces and Nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends who will deeply miss her.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Darla was an ardent supporter of the New Orleans Saints, exclaiming "Who Dat!!" and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide Roll!!!
