Darla Kaye Lewis
“Dolly”
“Nanny”
Darla Kaye Lewis was born on November 17th, 1960 in Garland Texas. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. While we grieve her passing we celebrate the fact that she will be reunited with her father Harvey Lee Turley and many other cherished family members including her beloved dog Jäger Lewis - feeding him Cheez Its of course. We also remember to celebrate the life she lived, the love she gave, and the joy that she brought to others. Darla will be forever missed but we will live on in her honor - to the full extent as she would have wanted.
Her family was the center of her life. She is survived by her soulmate Wayne Lewis, mother Shirley Jean Fitzugh, two younger sisters Kimberly Jean Yancey and Shawna Renee Payne, daughter Jamie Nichole West, son Kevin Chase Rollins, granddaughters Madison Makayla West (favorite) and Maycey Morgan West (2nd favorite) and long time best friend Jennifer “Jen Jen” Burns.
There are so many hearts Darla Kaye touched in her life from nieces and nephews, friends, strangers, babies at every restaurant and customers. She was always willing to serve and never afraid of a challenge, there was above and beyond and then there was Darla Kaye. She will be remembered for her boundless love and warmth to everybody around her - and her amazing sausage balls.
