Darla Jo (Ferguson) Vanoster, 47, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at her residence. Darla is the daughter of the late Byron "Jay" and Carolyn "Midge" Ferry Ferguson from Deavertown. She attended Deavertown Elementary and went to high school at Morgan and Crooksville. She was a phlebotomist and a nurse. She was well known in the Deavertown/Crooksville area and had a huge heart and loved caring for others. Darla was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Darla is survived by her husband Lee Vanoster, whom she married October 19, 1997; a daughter Tabitha (Austin) Ward; 13 beautiful grandchildren, that were her pride and joy: Kayleigh Vanoster, Mackenzie Vanoster, Kiersten Vanoster, Noah Vanoster, Journey Vanoster, Reagan Newsom, Addie Chevalier, Emma Chevalier, Kolton Vanoster, Remington Jarrett, Brentley Ward, Andrew Ward and Jennifer Ward; her mother in law Sara Vanoster; a sister Dusty (Eugene) Sharkey; a brother in law John Vanoster; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Rugar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children: Samantha Jo Vanoster and Kenneth Vanoster; a brother Curtis Ferguson; her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3PM, Friday, October 31, 2025 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 3PM with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery.
