Darlene Bone Obituary
Darlene Bone, 78 of Winter Haven, Florida peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on March 8th, 2024 in Auburndale, FL surrounded by her family.
Darlene, a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and devoted Christ follower was born on November 28th, 1945 in Winter Haven, Florida. She was a graduate of Winter Haven High School, Class of 1964. Prior to retiring in 2006, Darlene spent 26 years working for State Farm in Winter Haven.
Darlene lived a life that was a testament to the love and compassion of Jesus. Her home had an open door policy where she welcomed missionaries, friends, and some days a complete stranger that would leave feeling like family. Darlene was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions, such as painting, baking, and riding her Harley. She was known for her elaborate Christmas decorations and loved to display a Christmas tree in every room of the house.
Darlene was a dedicated member of Southside Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Florida. She loved leading women's bible studies and mentoring the children at Vacation Bible School.
Darlene is preceded in death by grand-daughter, Victoria Grace Miller. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George A Bone; her three daughters, Kim Varnadore (Duane) of Eustis, FL, Jennifer Bryan (Justin) of Auburndale, FL, and Lisa Miller (Bob) of Lakeland, FL. Darlene was a cherished grandmother to Zachary Varnadore (Sarah), Lindsey Rogers, Tyler Varnadore, Catherine Bryan, Michael Miller, and Evie Miller.
Services for Darlene Bone will include a 1:00 pm visitation, followed by a 2:00 pm service. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that memorial donations be made to George C. Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida. 450 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
Darlene Bone will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of unwavering faith, abundance of love and selflessness will continue to live in the hearts of all she has touched
