Cox, Darlene Elizabeth, 81, Mount Union, passed away Sunday August 31, 2025, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Born June 19, 1944, daughter of the late Leroy and Thelma (James) Arnold. Survived by her loving husband, Paul E. Cox Sr. Also survived by children, Paul E. Cox Jr. and wife, Andrea; Michele D. Strong and husband, Matt; grandchildren, Jessica Heidel-Wagner, Brittany Cox, Megan Cook, Lindsey Cook, and Dominic Strong; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Meloni. Preceded in death by children, Robin L. Wiser, and Rodney E. Banks; grandchild, Donna Heidel; and siblings, Shirley Petron and Terry Arnold. Mrs. Cox was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Cox was employed by Empire Kosher in Mount Union before serving as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, eating out, crafting and her dogs. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her great grandson, Gerald Wright, who had a special place in her heart and cared for her until the end. Family and friends will be received on Thursday September 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
