She was born in Manchester, NH February 19, 1952 the daughter of Alexander and Mabel (Nolet) Manoly. She was a graduate of Central High School and New Hampshire College.
Darlene worked as a fashion buyer originally for Rooks Department Stores and later for Pariseau's. She retired as store manager at Lady Grace in Manchester where she worked for several years.
She married her childhood sweetheart and together they traveled extensively. Darlene loved summers at Hampton Beach, winters at Clearwater Beach, and was always willing to make a detour to Foxwoods. She loved animals especially her cat, "Song". Her family was her most important priority. She was funny, mischievous, gentle, giving, kind and loving, and anyone who knew her could not help but love her.
She leaves her husband of 39 years, Francis G. Gingras of Bedford; a brother, Donald Manoly and his wife, Elizabeth, of Trinity, Fl.; and her father and mother in-law, Armand and Helene Gingras of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 9, 2014 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., was in charge of arrangements.

Dear Franck,
As I was trying to locate both of you I came upon the obituary of Darlene. All my deepest sympathy and so saddened of her passing so young! She was my first real friend when I came to America. I do cherish all the wonderful time we had together back on Pearl street.

I found out today from Dave at the beach, my family won't be the same my friend. Hope Darlene finds a beach to set on in Heaven. She was a great, kind lady!!! Brian and family

Frank: Darlene has been my best friend since freshman year in high school. I will miss her dearly. But she leaves me with so many moments of laughter, mischief, tears: all memories that I will hold close to my heart forever. I am here for you.
