Darlene D. Hendricks, a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother (affectionately known to her 3 beautiful angels as Mam Mam) has peacefully passed away on April 28, 2024, with her loving husband Michael by her side. She was born on April 22, 1968, in Queens, NY to her loving mother Eileen Wood. Darlene went on to make a beautiful house a home for her family in deer park, NY. Darlene found joy and fulfillment in her career as a bridal attendant at Oheka Castle and a dedicated school bus driver.
Darlene is survived by her beloved husband Michael Hendricks. She will be deeply missed by her children Michael P. Hendricks, Taylor A. Hendricks, and Daniel P. Hendricks along with their significant others Jillian, Mark, and Michelle. Darlene also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Niko, Alana, and Michael, her beautiful angels. She will also be tremendously missed by all her friends of many years.
The visitation and prayer services to honor Darlene's life will be held at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. The visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and later from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on May 2, 2024. A prayer service will follow at the same location, beginning at 7:30PM. A private cremation service will be held the following day.
Darlene Hendricks touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication throughout her years. Her family and friends will always remember her loving nature and the warmth she brought into their lives. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved by many and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
