Darlene Keiper, 71, of Rio Rancho, N.M., passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, from a brief illness.
Darlene was the daughter of the late Donald and Ruth Shelmerdine Davenport. She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1972. After graduation, she worked in several banks before moving to Albuquerque, N.M., where she married Edward Keiper and started a family. There she continued working in banking, later moving to Rio Rancho, working at Intel and New Mexico Student Loan.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Edward Keiper.
She is survived by her daughter, Karissa, Rio Rancho; son, Eric Benton, Arkansas; granddaughter, Samantha Porter, Rio Rancho; sister, Sandy Holleran, Swoyersville; sister-in-law, Sue Teberio (Lou) and family, Wilkes-Barre; niece Jenny Brennan (Ray) and family; niece Heidi McKenney and family, Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy. My heart goes out to you on Darlene´s passing. There are no words to describe what a good friend she was and how much she meant to me. I know she´s driving her green Vega in heaven. May her memory bring you comfort and peace.

So sorry for your loss it was just a few weeks ago i was thinking her husband Ed passed away 3 years ago but now she is gone too rest in peace Darlene
