Kossen, Darlene Ann Fruitport Mrs. Darlene Ann Kossen, age 82, passed away at her home in Fruitport, Michigan on Sunday, June 27, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids on January 24, 1939 to Charles and Mary (Bushaw) Kelly. Darlene had worked as a cosmetologist and had taught cosmetology classes prior to her retirement. She had lived in the greater Grand Rapids area for most of her life before moving to Zephyrhills, Florida and most recently Fruitport, Michigan. Darlene enjoyed collecting lighthouse figurines and traveling around Michigan with her friends to see lighthouses. On March 22, 1957, Darlene married Orrie Kenneth Kossen, Sr. and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1984. She is survived by two sons, Ken (Becky) Kossen and Dave Kossen; daughter-in-law, Sue Kossen; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Darlene was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Kossen and her parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Darlene will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
