Darlene Frances Maurer

Darlene Frances Maurer, age 85 of Litchfield, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Service.

Darlene Maurer was born on September 1, 1940, to Irwin and Mary Richards in Mora, Minnesota. She was united in marriage February 22, 1959 to Lawrence Maurer and had three children and gained three more (step) children.

Darlene worked many jobs throughout the years, where she met many wonderful people. Darlene couldn’t go anywhere without running into people that she knew. She loved going on adventures with family, friends, and good old cousin Brad. Darlene’s greatest adventures were her grand kids and great grand kids. Her greatest pride and joy besides her husband and kids was her dog Ozzy.

Darlene is survived by her husband Lawrence; Children Becky (Jeff) Lundin of Litchfield MN, Denise (Dale) Foss of Paynesville MN, Larry Petersen of Holdingford MN, Debbie Preglier of Litchfield MN, Debbie Maurer (wife of Ricky); many grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents Irwin and Mary Richards; Sister Cheryl Richards; Sons Craig and Ricky Maurer and many other relatives.
