Darlene M. Miller, born on November 14, 1935, in Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Darlene loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. At Christmas, she cherished the tradition of preparing a Scandinavian dinner, including lutefisk, lefse, and Swedish meatballs. She was happy to pass down the tradition of making lefse and Scandinavian treats to her children and grandchildren.

Darlene had a variety of interests and hobbies, including camping and traveling with family and friends, playing cards and board games, snowmobiling, bowling, and her favorite of all, dancing with her husband, Jim. She always looked forward to football season and loved watching the Broncos.

Jim and Darlene operated a successful property management business for over 45 years. A long-time member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Darlene's faith was a cornerstone of her life.

Darlene leaves behind her children, David (Diane), Debra (Bob), and Jeffrey; her grandchildren, Joe (Kristi) Tomporowski, Lindsay (Rick) Adams, Jessica (Aaron) Wales, and Jacy (Eric) Olsen; and her great-grandchildren, Angelina (Duane) Trent, Joshua and Adalyn Wales, Taylor and Easton Tomporowski, Eric, Payton, and Ainsley Olsen; as well as her great-great-grandson Beau Trent. She is also survived by her sister, Marcie Nash, and many special nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Jim; her parents Mainard and Esther Johnson; special step-mom Ada; her brothers LeMay, Carroll, and Dennis Johnson; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Delores and Charlie Brown.

Darlene is remembered by all as a sweet and loving woman who deeply valued her family, her faith, and her lifelong friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nancy for being our mother’s best friend for well over 40 years. She was always there for anything and everything up until the very end. And a special thank you to Marie who was mom’s dear friend at Primrose. She watched over Darlene and they spent many evenings playing cards and dominoes together.

In remembrance of Darlene's life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on November 10, 2025 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Cheyenne, WY. She will be buried with her husband Jim at Cheyenne National Cemetery.
