Age 86, of Waupaca, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, with her son (Anthony) at her side. She was born in Marinette on November 22, 1938, to Joseph and Naomi (Pettey) Trepanier. She was united in marriage to Anthony James Scheftner, and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2007. Darlene was a dedicated wife and mother, a wonderful homemaker, and a loving caregiver for many other children.
She is survived by her children: Lyle Scheftner, Anthony Scheftner, Jr. (Roxanne Efta), and Lisa Scheftner (Brian Knetsch); grandchildren: Joseph, Amanda, and Lauren; great-grandchildren: Analyse, Maliki, Selena, and Vincent; as well as other relatives and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Scheftner, Sr., and two sisters, Ardis (Raymond) and Gloria.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee. A visitation will be held at the cemetery from 12:30 p.m. until the committal service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
