Funeral service for Darlene Ethel Snyder, age 86 of Dallas, Texas will be held at 1:00P.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Buddy Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Academy Cemetery with Mike Snyder, Monte Snyder, Marc Snyder, Michael Nauman, Steve Mabry and Jeremy Estira serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Snyder passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026.
Darlene was born on July 10th, 1939, in Chicago, IL, to Peter and Genevieve Carlino. She married Robert Frederick Snyder on February 15th, 1957. Darlene graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Southern Methodist University. Darlene graduated from beauty school as an esthetician and stylist. She was a master at her craft and operated her own business (Salon 6009) for over 60 years in Preston Center. She was a skilled artist (loved to paint), a lover of horticulture, and incredibly stylish with excellent taste. She was a voracious reader, a lifelong learner of topics from philosophy to art and everything in between, and a lifelong fan of the theater.
She is survived by her loving husband; her brother, Michael Morgan (Los Angeles, CA); her children, Marc Stephen Snyder (his spouse, Margaret) (Dallas, TX), Monte Keith Snyder (his spouse, Mary) (Fayetteville, AR), and Michael Kevin Snyder (his spouse, Larysa) (Whitefish Bay, WI), her niece, Kelly Douglas (Paige, TX), her grand-children Elizabeth (and her spouse, Jeremy Estira) (Tahlequah, OK), Madison (and her spouse, Michael Nauman) (Fishers, IN), Chelsea (Fayetteville, AR), and Vlada (Knoxville, TN), and great-grand-children Carson, Parker, and Asher Estira, and Luca and Liam Nauman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Collet.
Darlene was a bright light of warmth and love to all those around her. She embraced every person with kindness and care. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her beautiful soul.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Joseph’s Indian School, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or Shriners Children’s.
