Darlene Toney, 69, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on February 10, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1956, to the late Olen and Lillie Mae Toney. She was a 1974 graduate of Howard High School.

She proudly served her country in the United States Navy as an E-4 Petty Officer. Her time in service reflected her dedication, resilience, and quiet strength.

Her family will always remember her smile that was truly out of this world. She loved purses and a shopping trip to Saks Fifth Avenue. Darlene also loved eating at Subway. Long drives helped her clear her mind and find peace. And when she wasn't behind the wheel, she could often be found riding the CARTA bus, content to spend the day going through each stop.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Lillie Mae Toney; and brothers, James "Skip" Roosevelt Toney and Johnny Beverly Toney.

Those left to cherish her memories include her brothers, Charles Olen Toney and Lou Thomas Toney; beloved niece, Juanita Toney; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews,

Condolences can be shared with the Toney family at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.
