WHITE, Darlene – a lifelong resident of Montrose, age 77, died peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Montrose Township Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church – 400 N. Saginaw St., in Montrose, from 12PM until 3PM, in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care – 4085 Lapeer Rd., in Burton.
Darlene was born August 5, 1948, in Saginaw, to the late Charles and Ina (Franklin) Andres. She graduated from Hill McCloy High School with the class of 1968 and proudly worked at the Genesee Intermediate School District as a school bus driver for many years. Darlene married her beloved husband and best friend, Robert White, on September 19, 1970, and together they shared nearly 55 years of marriage. She enjoyed visiting the casino and playing bingo, but nothing rivaled the love she had for her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darlene was an incredible woman who can never be replaced, and she will be dearly missed.
Darlene is forever loved by: Husband, Rob White; Children: Robert D. (Lisa) White, William W. (Tina) White, and Katrina M. Hopper; Grandchildren: David, Elizabeth, Ashley, Cynthia, Alyssa, Brianna, Heather, Michael, Samantha D., Samantha, and Zachary; Great Grandchildren: Liam, Logan, Evelyn, Amelia, Jonathan, Jesse, Belle, Maddox, Scarlette, and Lyla; Brother, George "Tom" Andres; Beloved Special Niece, June (Ken) Rice; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Darlene was preceded in death by: Parents, Chuck and Ina; Siblings: Natalie Minnick, Jim Andres, and Gary Andres.
