Darline Jean Ferguson

Darline Ferguson, age 68 of Hendersonville, passed away November 30, 2025 at her home. Darline was born in Germany where her father was serving in the U.S. Army on March 4, 1957 to the late Leonard and Dorothy Sparks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ferguson, Sr.; her step-mother, Gloria Sparks; and her brother, Thomas Sparks.

Darline is survived by children, David Ray Ferguson, Jr. (Miranda) and Dawn Marshall; grandchildren, Helana Ferguson, Briana, Aaliyah, Cayla, Elissa, Farron, and Graylynn Marshall; great-granddaughter, Eden Marshall; and brother, Phillip Sparks.

She was a member of the Highland Chapel Union Church; she and her husband David showed cars for many years at various car shows where she also helped him DJ music. Darline was raised in Hodgkins, Illinois and was a graduate of Lyons Township High School, Class of 1975 in La Grange, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside with Pastor Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
