JOHNSON, Darnell Sr., Departed this life March 28th, 2024. Darnell Johnson Sr., age 66, of Richmond. He was a member of Jonathan Lodge #112 F & AM (Prince Hall Affilliated). He is survived by his wife, Andrea Trent Johnson; three children, Lisa, Darnell Jr and Darvonette Johnson; bonus daughter Amber Trent; one grandson, Joshua Witherspoon; bonus granddaughter, Amiyah Fowler; three brothers, James Artis Sr. (Linda); Douglas Artis Sr. and Roger Slaughter Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; mother-in-law, Jeanette Trent; sisters-in-law, Desiree Artis and Cheryl Webb(James); brother- in- law, Keith Trent Goddaughters ParisTaylor and Destiny DeVeaux and other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 13th at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 E. Creighton Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Lance Watson(senior pastor). Dr. Maceo Freeman eulogy. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
