Darold H.Buskohl lost his battle with cancer on Friday, September 8, 2023. Darold was born May 22, 1951 in Parker, SD to Margaret and Harvey Buskohl.
Darold grew up on a farm and graduated from Parker High School. He always had a love for sports, playing football and basketball throughout high school. Even at a young age, Darold was always a jokester. He had the most fun sense of humor. That humor and his love for sports was with him until the end. If you knew Darold, you knew his favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Darold was a hard worker. He worked for Advance Homes in Sioux Falls before the family moved to Rapid City. He continued working for Advance Homes out of Rapid City until 1980. They would say Darold could move a trailer in any spot without breaking a sweat and had no problem doing so. He began working for Black Hills Power & Light while also helping run three mobile home parks in Black Hawk. Most of the tenants knew him as the extremely tall guy who was always cracking jokes and would always help anyone who needed it.
Darold was a loving father, grandpa, papa, and husband. He is survived by his wife, Tamara "Tammy" R. Buskohl; daughters, Amber Buskohl and Amanda (Kenny) Guy; step-son, Shaun McLoud; and grandchildren, Brandi Buskohl, Mya (Trey Lipp) Baumgart, Gabby (Cody Burris) Buskohl, and Rebel McLoud.
Celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Kirk Funeral Home. A reception at the Moose Lodge will follow the service.
Friends and family are welcome to sign the online guestbook.
