Never gonna forget Daron Norwood. It's 2024, September 16th, Monday as I write this, and I remember when Daron cam on the country music scene back in the day around 1995 or so. His music was some of the best on the radio, and even recently I listen to his music. Mostly though I like to sing his song, "If It Wasn't For Her" in the Starmaker app. That's one of the last country music songs I remember that came out that required a country music singer to actually be able to sing, and he delivered it in great style. A great singer gone too soon.

Daron was a good singer and he will be missed.

I happened to download some of his songs my grandmother took me. To see him in 1993 and i got ed russels drum stick and while i was downloading songs of his i remembered i seen it pop up cause of death i am thinking no way what in the world and as i clicked on it and it was loading it was the cnn news page telling me he was found dead . I wish i knew the cause of death and my late condolances goes out t9 his wife children and other family. God knew his work on earth was done and it was time to go home . Fly high my angel daron norwood! You will be so missed and say hello to my grandma for me and btw she loved you and your music!!

I will never forget the day that I saw daron in concert in boyd county ky at the fair that he was singing at and I was the only one that stood up for him and someone from the crew gave me a sticker and they let me come back and have him sign it for me. He was the most sweetest person. He was so nice to me. So sorry for your loss.

I was very saddened to hear of Daron's passing. The Norwood family will always be close to my heart. I had the privilege of knowing you all when Hugh Jack Pastored at Burchill Baptist Church. I have several albums you recorded back then and one Daron recorded from his country music. I know right well the loss you feel, I lost my brother at age 40. I miss him still today. One thing that keeps me holding on is knowing I will see him again someday. I thank you all for the love you showed me back then, for it was through your ministry that I found Jesus and am saved today, filled with the Holy Ghost and loving GOD more everyday. I was web surfing the other night late when I came across an article on Stars we lost. When Daron picture appeared I nearly fell out of bed. I Love Daron's music. He had the talent,looks and voice to go far. Still one of my favs. R.I.P my condolences to the family.

I'm so sad to hear today Daron passed away. He was a awesome singer we went out a few times while he was playing in midland Texas at a local club. Daron would always sing my favorite song by Vern Gosdin( Do you beleive me now) I no he struggled in many ways but he will always be in my heart just a very special friend, he will be missed , Love Ya My Friend say hi and tell my sweet son ( bubba) his momma loves him and misses him , you can sing in heaven now God bless to all the Norwood Family.

Daron and his family use to come and sing at Idalou Baptist Church. It was always so exciting to the whole Church when we heard the Norwood Family would be singing. I still have an album that they sold during one of their visits. Wonderful memories. So very sorry to hear of this loss. His commitment to God and family is such a comfort. God bless all of you.

Linda and I met Daron during his time in Marietta, Georgia. We became friends as he was easy to meet and we so enjoyed his company. A fantastic entertainer. We will miss him. Sending condolences to Daron's family and friends. May God's Peace and Love bring you comfort.

I never had the opportunity to meet Daron Norwood as many folks had, but I knew he had an outstanding, great voice, which was pleasant to listen to. I liked his songs along with the videos he made. I met Daron when we lived in Nashville. I just turned 18, singing in the local places, and Dad and I met Daron there. We sung a few songs together. He was 3 years older than me. This was mid-80s.. "I'm goin to hear Daron..I swear that kid is so talented"..coming from her, I knew you must be somethin! Then in 92 you walked in to where Misti and I worked and we were instant friends. "If It Wasn't for Her.." was juuuusst about to make it big, but I had no idea. I just knew you were cool. We ended up at the Oyster Bar with friends and you made us all laugh and laugh. An unforgettable afternoon. My sweet Mom went to Heaven 6 years ago and I know she was a part of your Welcoming Committee.i don't say "rest in peace" because you aren't resting..you are bringing smiles and your beautiful voice to Heaven. I met Daron in Nashville Tennessee about 30yrs ago in a little restaurant/bar while visiting my brother who also has since passed away. He walked up to our table introduced himself and looked at me and said "I saw your wranglers and boots and knew you were really a horse person and not from around here." He sat with us most of the afternoon in between his sets. He was so nice and down to earth. When we left he gave me his business card and wrote on the back " Darlene it was nice to meet you and visit., please don't forget me, Daron Norwood. I kept that card in a fire proof important papers box that my ex husband took when we divorced. He refused to give me any of its contents. However he couldn't take my memories of that afternoon and meeting Daron. I never forgot you Daron. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting Daron in Marietta, GA about a year before his career took off in Nashville. He was performing at the Buckboard Nightclub and told me he was about to release his first single. I asked if I could hire him to play at a company picnic and was surprised when he accepted. He was so talented and had a great personality. I feel blessed to have known him even if for a short time. God be with your family and loved ones.

RIP. He was truly an amazing artist. He will be missed by all. Great talent and awesome voice.

I have only good memories of Daron we had became good friends and I will miss him deeply. He was a good man who loved people and life he talked about the love he had for his kids and how he wanted to make some kind of come back in music. We wanted to do a reality show together and have some fun with it. Words can't say how much I will miss him he was a special person I just liked to laugh with him and just pray for his family in this time. Rest in peace my friend I know your singing in heaven tonight.

Daron was just Daron to me. I am proud to call him friend. We were at skating rink on a school trip I had had never skated before and didn't lace up my skates right and broke my ankle. Daron was very skinny when we were 15 and me not so much. He picked me up and carried me out to the bus and up the step and sat me on the seat. I know it was a stain and when we got home he carried me off the bus and put me in my mom's van so she could take me to the hospital. We had many wonderful times being at a small Christian school. Many people find fame, but being loved by everybody regardless of fame is a legacy. That's our Daron

I have numerous memories of Daron,his mom, dad,brother and sister singing as a family at the Tahoka Baptist Church. They were truly amazing and blessed my heart every time I heard them sing. I feel fortunate to have known Daron and his family through the years.

I have known Daron and all his family since 1972 when I attended college at Wayland with his Aunt Debbie. I have enjoyed he and his mom,dad, brother and sister's music through the years. Daron was an amazing vocalist,pianist, and guitarist. He and his family are good friends of mine.My heart was broken for all of his family when I heard the news of his passing.
