Darrel Arnold Huffman, 81, of Gentry passed away April 27th at a skilled nursing center in Rogers. He was born May 24, 1943 in Beech Grove, Arkansas to Elmer Huffman and Flossie Holland Huffman.
Darrel was a long-time resident of Beech Grove, Arkansas, and moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2020 with his wife, Cora "Sue" Huffman. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He liked to hunt, fish, and do carpentry work. He enjoyed talking about airplanes and attending airshows. He loved talking to anyone, anywhere, and he never met a stranger. Darrel took pride in his faith, his family, and his country.
Darrel was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one daughter, Jan Martz; and six siblings: Ralph, Verna, Jean, Jerry, Lannie, and James Huffman.
Darrel is survived by six children: Kevin Huffman (Ginger) of Maryville, TN, Kelly Huffman (Cheryl) of Maryville, TN, Dustin Huffman (Julie) of Gentry, AR, Jeff Kashak (Linda) of Farmington, MN, Juliene Kennedy (Brian) of Van Buren, MO, JimBob Kashak (Sarah) of Paragould, AR, and; one sister, Bert Condray of Mountain Home, AR; nine grandchildren: Kassandra Slaughterbeck, Jessica Floyd (Schuyler), Nathan Kashak, Jodie Carter, Brianne Drees (Kevin), Jenna Forsythe (Edward), Zoey Kashak, Remington Huffman, Isaiah Huffman; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Darrel will be Friday, May 2, 2025 from 5-7pm at Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville, Arkansas.
A graveside service for Darrel will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00pm at Bentonville Cemetery, officiated by Jeffrey Dial.
