Darrell Applegate Obituary
He was born August 13, 1951, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Adolphus and Cynthia Canell Applegate.
He enjoyed doing carpenter work and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Harold Applegate, Fred Applegate, George Applegate, Clifford Applegate, Allen Ray Applegate, Leslie Eugene Applegate; four sisters, Margie Polley, Helen Ruth Gottfried, Verna Bond and Donna Thoroughman.
Bud is survived by two sisters, Mary Alice Clark, Nellie Marie Bloomfield both of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law along with several nieces and nephews who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, April 13, 2026, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 10:30, Monday, April 13, 2026, until the service hour at Dickerson Funeral Home.
