Darrell "Skip" Eugene Findlay, 63, of Rochester, Minnesota, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family and friend.

Born January 9, 1962 in Willoughby, Ohio, Darrell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Mia Findlay; daughters Christina and Bethany, and son-in-law Chris; and his cherished grandchildren Hailey, Emerson, and Alyssa, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his sister Diana Miller and her husband Nick; nieces; and his nephew Anthony Miller and his wife Amanda, along with great-nephew Tanner Miller. Brother-in-law Bon Larson-Silva and his wife Wendy, and niece Elizabeth Chavez.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Beverley and Jim Lodge, and his brother Dennis Findlay.

Darrell loved his family deeply and lived his life with quiet integrity, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He believed in helping his neighbors, lending a hand without hesitation, and upholding genuinely high moral standards. His friendships were lifelong and treasured, especially with Chip Domanick, John Canton, Nicole DiSanto, and Chuck Norris.

A highly respected colleague, Darrell dedicated 34 years to Johnson & Johnson and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics where his work ethic, reliability, and warmth earned the admiration of everyone around him. He retired in 2022, embracing more time with the people and the simple joys he loved most.

Darrell enjoyed watching Jeopardy, playing cards, listening to music, and caring for his home and lawn, which he took great pride in. He loved traveling in his RV; always eager for the next road ahead, driving, fishing, bowling, a good steak, and cheering for Ohio State and the Buffalo Bills. These small pleasures reflected the heart of who he was: steady, joyful, thoughtful, and deeply devoted.

He was a great man, a loyal friend, and a gentle, loving presence in the lives of all who knew him.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
