Darrell Franklin Green, 76, widower of Janet Green, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at his home. Born on August 30, 1949 in Woodford County, KY, he was the son of the late Gene and Doris Green.

Darrell served and supported the community of Versailles in many capacities throughout his daughters' youth, and he later relocated to Lawrenceburg where he also became involved in the community. He and his late wife were members of Alton Christian Church. After a full career as a self-employed plumber and co-owner of Homes by Green, Darrell retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a State Plumbing Inspector. In his free time, Darrell enjoyed maintaining a meticulous yard, playing a round of golf, dining out with friends and family, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Darrell is survived by his daughters, Gena Beard (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Stacie Trent (R.L.) of Lexington, KY, and Krista Hayes (Jeff) of Rock Hill, SC; his stepdaughters, Tonya Green (Lauren) of Louisville, KY and Tracy Green of Lawrenceburg, KY; and his grandchildren, Wyatt Trent, Sawyer Trent, Benjamin Hayes, Jackson Hayes and Alex McKenzie.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Woodford Park Foundation in memory of Darrell Green.
