Darrell Gene Hescht

Darrell G. "Jug" Hescht, 80, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025. Born in Pleasants County, WV, on November 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Bernard and Lorena Malone Hescht. He was a Boilermaker with the Local# 667. Darrell was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam and helped build a hospital in Saigon. He attended Waverly Church of Christ. He loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Lisa Hescht, Shelley Hescht, and Craig Hescht; one grandson, Jared Isner; four great-grandchildren, Kaylynn McCarty, Rileigh Hescht, and Dallas and Cohen Isner; one sister, Shirley Greathouse; two brothers, Beryl (Judy) Hescht, and Doug (Susie) Hescht; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Pryor Hescht; granddaughter, Hannah Hescht; and one brother, Larry Hescht. The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and his nurses, Jennifer Pinkerton, Cammie, Emily, Connie, Amy, Gabbie, Maggie, Ashley, and Tammy.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, WV.
