Louise and family - I'm so sorry to hear of LaVere passing away. Marshall let me know today. I'll always remember him as the best cousin - buddy - born the same year - same city Elmira, just 4 months apart - me the oldest. We got in lots of trouble together and he always blamed me!! We didn't have any girl cousins our age so it was the Updike boys my sister and I spent our summers with - either in Gillett or the boys at our farm in Willseyville, NY...The best childhood memories anyone could have.
