Darrell W. (Big D) Leach of Levittown, PA passed away, Wednesday December 4, 2013. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, family then moved to Fairless Hills, PA, where he graduated from Pennsbury High School. After high school, he served in the army during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1973 as a clerk typist. He was an employee of the USX (United Steel) for approx. 20 years till it closed down and then went back to school to be a Telemetry Tech, and then a nurse's assistant to his most recent position as a Unit Clerk at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia where he made lifelong friendships that meant a lot to him. He recently celebrated 20 years working at Presbyterian Hospital. He was a very intelligent man, could answer any question on Jeopardy. They actually wanted him to stay on after schooling to become a teacher that is how well he did there. One of his biggest passions was shooting pool, he even created his own pool league which was a huge accomplishment for him, he ran it for 4 years and as of late it is still running. He was very good at it and he met a lot of amazing friends and enjoyed any challenge given to him. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle on a nice warm sunny day. He also enjoyed a very wide variety of music, enjoyed having friends and family over for an evening of shooting pool. He is the beloved husband to Francine (Dzurinko); he was one of three sons to the late Joseph and Victorine Leach, Brother Joseph and the late David Leach. He was the beloved father of two children, Kristin Emery (Kenneth) and Darrell F. Leach (Kelley). He was also blessed with three grandchildren, Amanda, Olivia and Chase. He is survived by aunts and uncles, brother and sister-in-laws and lots and lots of nieces and nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gift of Life Foundation, 401 N. 3rd St., Phila., PA 19103. Family and friends are invited to Darrell's Life Celebration, Tuesday, Dec. 10th from 6-9PM at Beck/Givnish of Levittown, 7400 New Falls Rd.
