Rev. Darrell C. Reynolds, 74, of Fruitland Park, Florida, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born in Leesburg, Florida, Darrell was a devoted lifelong resident of the Sunshine State.
A dedicated minister, Darrell served several churches in Central Florida, including the Umatilla Church of God and Promise Land Ministries. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his ministry; he also honorably served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Since 2003, he had been a valued Funeral Assistant at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, where he continued to touch lives through compassionate care.
Darrell had a wide array of interests that brought him joy, including art, ballroom dancing, fishing, and engaging in various projects. He particularly enjoyed savoring Polar Pops and took delight in showcasing his colorful ties and whimsical socks, reflecting his vibrant personality.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Schlepper of Fruitland Park, FL; his daughter, Carrie Howe of Dalton, GA; stepson, Sean Mahaney of Wildwood, FL; stepdaughter, Misty Warren of Ocklawaha, FL; and sister, Linda Race of Windermere, FL. Darrell’s legacy continues through his 8 grandchildren: Nathan, Emma, Anslie, Rowan, Dara, Danielle, Lilly, and Levi; along with step-grandchild, Malcolm (Mary); step-greatgrandchild, Dominic, as well as numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Darrell is predeceased by his daughter, Dayna.
A memorial service celebrating Darrell's life will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Darrell's generous spirit.
