Darrell Lee Watkins

Darrell Lee Watkins, born November 5, 1966, in Troy, Alabama, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Marianna, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, Poppie, and friend whose presence brought laughter, warmth, and connection to everyone he met.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Rose Watkins; his children, son Justin Reed and his wife Sydney; son Micheal Reed and his wife Kelly, and their sons Jaxsin, Bryson, and Joby; and daughter Sierra Watkins and her boyfriend Andrew. He is also fondly remembered by his many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Darrell never met a stranger. He had a rare gift for making people feel known-able to strike up a conversation with anyone as if they were an old friend. He was hilarious, goofy, and full of life, always ready with a laugh or a story that left others smiling.

He enjoyed flying drones, watching movies, and had a deep, special love for music. These passions brought him peace and happiness, and he loved sharing them with those around him.

Though deeply missed on earth, we find comfort knowing Darrell is now fishing with his family in heaven, free, joyful, and surrounded by love.

His memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the many lives he touched.
