My wife Ruth and I are deeply saddened by the news about Darryl´s passing. He was an inspiration to me being in the car world, specifically hot Rodding like Darryl. I was so impressed by his work that I journeyed with my son Jordan to his old Grand Junction Colorado shop to meet Darryl and see his latest creation, the Lakes Modified Roadster that I decided to build one. Approximately four years later I completed mine and drove it for the first time. Nine years later it still brings a smile to my face each time I drive it. Our
sincere sympathies and condolences go out to family and friends and Godspeed to Darrell with his Hot Rods and Banjos forever.
