Darren Joseph Ritterhouse

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Darren Joseph Ritterhouse, 38, on Saturday April 8, 2023 after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer.

Darren was born on January 27, 1985 to Lyle Ritterhouse and Lisa (Roughton) Cook in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma and graduated high school with the Class of 2003. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force for 7 years.
He had been working for Kinder Morgan for almost 10 years as a field operator, and most recently as a line locator. However, his favorite job in the world was being a husband to his wife Jasmine of 3 years and a dad to his 3 kids: Kasey, 16, Grey, 12, and Adalee, 11. He always said he didn't believe in soulmates until he met Jasmine in March of 2018.
Darren and Jasmine married on October 1, 2019. Darren and Jasmine blended their families seamlessly, and showed each kid what true love and respect for their partner is supposed to look like.
Darren is survived by his wife: Jasmine; sons: Kasey and Grey; daughter: Adalee, all of the home; mother: Lisa Cook and husband, Terry of Shawnee, Oklahoma; father: Lyle Ritterhouse and wife, Darci of Lyons, Kansas; sister: Liz Thomas and husband, Bryan of Pawnee, Oklahoma; four nieces, one nephew, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his in-laws that loved him like a son.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents: Revis and Janice Roughton; paternal grandparents: Dwight and Lou Ann Ritterhouse; and uncles: Scott Roughton, and Monte Kinzel.
