Darrold "Red" Dean Dyer, 71, of Wilson, passed away on December 8, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on April 26, 1954, in Elwood, KS, to the late Mr. Chester Franklin Dyer and Mrs. Edna Mae (Churchill) Dyer.
Dean was raised in Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, spending the majority of his educational years in Wilson. He dedicated a significant part of his life to serving the city of Wilson, which included his work at the Wilson Co-Op and as a volunteer firefighter for the Wilson Fire Department. In his leisure time, Dean enjoyed camping, swimming, and hunting, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature.
He is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, including Norene, Sue, Jerry, Jimmy, Carol, Frances, Shorty, Patsy, and Kenneth.
Dean is survived by his significant other, Stormie O'Daniel; his son, Billy; sisters, Linda Lingar and Patty Smith; brothers, Wesley "Bo" Dyer and Gerrald "Sunshine" Dyer; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who will cherish his memory.
Graveside Pavilion Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Bomar Point Cemetery, officiated by JD Scifres. The services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
