Darry Adkison Obituary
Darry created a successful career at Sears and Big Ten Tires. In addition to his professional life, he enjoyed coaching his sons at Bellview Dixie Youth Baseball. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, and he will always be remembered as an enthusiastic fan of the Florida Gators.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Adkison; his parents; his stepdaughter, Carolyn Baldwin; and his siblings, Glen Adkison, Amy Cosson, and Gretchen Miller.
Darry is survived by his loving children, Anthony "Tony" Adkison (Donna), Jan Hendrix (Mike), Tim Adkison, Darry "Sonny" Adkison Jr., and Carol Staliwe (Ron); his stepdaughter, Donna Gindl; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He cherished his family and took great joy and pride in them.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM, with graveside services to follow.
